You don’t often read the words “ex-Ayrton Senna” in conjunction with a rallying Austin MG Metro 6R4, but Coys has managed to consign one such example for its season-opening Birmingham sale.
As befits the Autosport International venue, competition cars are to the fore.
The great Brazilian drove ‘C64 WDU’ at a Rally test day in November 1986 organised by Cars and Car Conversions. The car also appeared in many other specialist publications including Motor, Autocar and Motoring News.
