Bruno Senna will be sporting a modified helmet design for this weekend’s Korean Grand Prix in order to mark the 20-year anniversary of late uncle Ayrton’s third and final World Championship-crowning moment in 1991.
Ayrton Senna, driving for McLaren, became World Champion in 1988, 1990 and 1991, with the final title being clinched by beating Nigel Mansell at Suzuka on 20 October.
The aforementioned three years are all displayed on Renault driver Bruno’s helmet, which was on show as final preparations continued at Yeongam on Thursday.
Incidentally, Thursday marks 15 years since Britain’s Damon Hill picked up his Drivers’ Championship title – also at Suzuka – for Williams in 1996.
