Three championships, 60 pole positions and 33 wins. When Ayrton Senna took to the stage at the 1991 Autosport Awards, he was running low on goals to fight for and records to chase.

He had just won his third drivers’ championship after a fantastic battle with Nigel Mansell, and become the youngest ever triple Formula One world champion at the age of 31. Murray Walker took the opportunity to interview him about the 1991 season, his goals, his philosophies about racing, Fangio, and the upcoming ’92 season.

The characteristically soft-spoken, sincere and thoughtful Senna is always interesting to listen to, and Murray Walker’s questions make for an insightful and engaging video. Enjoy it.
