Bruno, Nelson and Pietro surnames represent the Challenge of the Stars. One meeting was on 84 when Ayrton, Nelson and Emerson tested Formula 1.

The eighth edition of the International Challenge of the Stars, which will be held next weekend, will mark a historic meeting for the Brazilian auto racing. For the second time, the surnames Senna, Piquet and Fittipaldi will be combined into the same lane.

Together, these families hold all eight titles won by Brazil in F1: three with Ayrton Senna (1988/90/91), three with Nelson Piquet (81/83/87) and two more with Emerson Fittipaldi (72/74) . On Saturday and Sunday, Bruno Senna, Nelson Piquet and Pietro Fittipaldi will be in action in traditional kart race organized by Felipe Massa. The competition played at the kart track Beto Carrero World Park in the city of Penha (SC) will bring together big names in national and international motor racing, among them, the Spaniard Fernando Alonso, champion of the Formula 1.

The only time that surnames major national motor sport were together on the same track was in a tire test in Formula 1 in 1984, in the recently demolished Jacarepagua racetrack, in Rio de Janeiro. On occasion, Emerson Fittipaldi, who had already left the category, tested by Spirit team, then coached by rookie Ayrton Senna and Nelson Piquet Toleman, which at the time amounted to two of his three world titles, he walked with Brabham.

The new and historic meeting can be viewed live. The SporTV transmits the official training on Saturday at 18h. The first battery appears on SporTV 3, the same day, at 21:30. Since the grand final will be Sunday at 11 am and will be broadcast within the Sports Spectacular on Globo TV.
