Senna bags

New range of Senna-inspired goods will be launched at next week’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.

A new range of luxury leather goods inspired by Ayrton Senna will be launched at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2013.

The new range from Caracalla 1947, developed in partnership with the Instituto Ayrton Senna, celebrates 25 years since the mercurial Brazilian won his first Formula One World Championship. Each piece carries Senna’s signature and the number one his McLaren wore for the 1989 season.

The range is hand-made in Italy to precise and exacting standards using only the best craftsmanship and the highest quality Tuscan leather and comes in a classic red matte finish with Ayrton’s No 1 insignia in white leather. Products will also carry the marque of the Instituto Ayrton Senna, the foundation he set up to develop the potential of children in Brazil. A percentage of every sale will go to the Institute.

The centrepiece of the collection is the Monza weekend holdall (£460), the perfect bag for a night or weekend away. Additional items in the range include a messenger bag (£320), wash bag (£144), wallet (£144) and key ring (£30).
