“Casa Cor” is a more than special space. Created by the talented architect Leo DiCaprio, the Ayrton Senna Lounge is cozy as the living room of a house and also as the amiable place dedicated to one of the greatest Brazilian idol.
Zupi visited the Lounge and talked with Leo DiCaprio and also with the Marketing Manager of the Ayrton Senna Institute, Irineu Villanoeva Jr. From the beginning, we can already realize that space is not an exhibition and, talking to DiCaprio, the impressions intersect with the architect’s goals for the environment. Some important parts of Senna’s career are in the Lounge, such as a racing overalls (Senna’s mother’s favorite), the trophy of the first victory in Brazil, and the first helmet worn during the racing season. All pieces are on pedestals specially developed for this location and the white color is the most dominant.
The space also has the video #SennaSempre, conducted by the JWT agency within the campaign in commemoration of Senna’s birthday, in a partnership with the Ayrton Senna Institute. The concept of the campaign is that “There will never be another Senna, but everyone can be every day a little more Ayrton”, says JWT Creation director Gustavo Soares. The film shows the more human side of Ayrton, little known, and not just the highly idolized and competitive Senna.
The aim of the creation of the Ayrton Senna Lounge is not only a tribute to its memory, but rather to keep alive its legacy, as a continuity of the Ayrton Senna Institute, which helps a lot in the development of education in Brazil . In conversation with Irineu Villanoeva Jr, we discovered that the pieces in space were given by the family and that part of the value of the whole tickets purchased will be reverted in favor of the Ayrton Senna Institute.
