Six teams of runners were awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the categories double quartet and octet, Sunday (04/12), and received trophies in 8th Ayrton Senna Racing Marathon Day (ASRD). In total, some 6,200 athletes participated in the competition and those who completed the circuit won medals. The first team to cross the finish line was the Orion octet (number 482) with a time of 2:22:57. The first quartet to complete the SBC test team was Team, number 799 and with a time of 2:23:47. The winning pair was Loucorredores (number 1049), who finished the race with a time of 2:42:58. The team Geovani Regional Club Braga (number 211) was the first among the women. The octet completed the race in 2:44:46. The official result of the race will be available at www.ayrtonsennaracingday.com.br up to 48 hours after the event.
The winners of 84 trophies were presented by president of Viviane Senna Ayrton Senna. The institution conducts a marathon eight years ago in order to pay tribute to three titles and raise funds for educational programs. The value of the entries is revertiro a work that benefits each year, about two million children and young people in public schools.
The varied program of events and attractions on the track as DJs, dance performances and giveaways infect the public and raise the temperature of Sunday in Sao Paulo. In this edition, also run by education, athletes, friends and family celebrated the third championship 20 years visiting the space of Ayrton Senna that featured an exhibition of objects related to the pilot’s career.
The health safety of the runners in this competition is always a priority. The circuit had points of hydration – water and Gatorade – and medical teams assisted the Syrian-Lebanese athlete, who were covered by insurance.
